Scholarship offer of the province of Lower Austria

The Lower Austrian state scholarship program supports study or research stays abroad in a variety of ways, aims to facilitate retraining and higher qualifications as part of a university degree, there are scholarships for subject-specific theses (e.g. Master's theses with a Lower Austrian connection) and students can also receive merit scholarships for special academic achievements. In addition, outstanding young academics are to be supported within the framework of international study and research stays. Students and graduates of the Karl Landsteiner Private University of Health Sciences can also be supported within the framework of various types of funding.

Who for: Lower Austrian students and young scientists with a connection to Lower Austria as well as students and graduates of the Karl Landsteiner Private University for Health Sciences.

Abroad

The aim here is to support both students in the context of a semester/internship abroad or a complete study abroad programme. In addition, outstanding young academics are supported in the context of international study and research stays.

Qualifizierungsstipendien

Two qualification scholarships are offered:

• Frauen in die Technik
  Funding is available for female students who are attending a full-time Bachelor's degree course in a technical field as part of the AMS NÖ (Lower Austria Public Employment Service) program “Frauen in Handwerk und Technik”.

• Karriere
  This scholarship is awarded to regular undergraduate students (Bachelor's degree with 180 ECTS credits and subsequent Master's degree with 120 ECTS credits) who are already established as specialists in a company and who gain a higher qualification for the benefit of the company through this course.

• Leistung
  Regular students who have completed a first degree (Bachelor's, Master's or doctoral/PhD program) at an Austrian university with excellent results can receive a merit scholarship.
  
  
• Akademische Abschlussarbeiten
  
  
• Abschlussarbeiten "Umwelt, Energie & Klima"
  The focus here is on subject-specific theses (e.g. Master's theses related to Lower Austria or theses related to the environment, energy & climate) which are funded with a scholarship if all the necessary criteria are met.
  
  
• Individuelle Sonderstipendien
  The Province of Lower Austria awards individual special scholarships for individual cases that merit consideration (hardship cases).
