Brief summary:
The project „Artificial intelligence in orthopedic radiography analysis” aims to further develop the AI technology for orthopedic use. Based on clinical problems, computer-aided detection and deep learning technology will be used to analyze standard 2D xrays. Fully automated measurements will be further developed and optimized and compared to gold-standard techniques and the physician. With the early detection of certain pathologies, the optimal and less invasive therapy might be initiated at an early stage. In such, arthroplasty on the hip and knee might be delayed or replaced with joint-preserving interventions.
